Frequently Asked Questions
- 1) What are your design fees?
- There are no design fees. However, we ask for a modest deposit to start the design process which is later applied to the purchase of cabinetry and countertops from Kitchen Galleries.
- 2) How do I know if I like your cabinetry and can afford it?
- We carry different cabinet lines to make sure we can accommodate a wide range of budgets. Each cabinetry line offers dozens of door styles and wood species.
- 3) Can I use the plans you prepare to apply for the city permits?
- Yes, you can. We draw plans, including electrical to meet the current California building codes.
- 4) Do you design bathrooms?
- Yes, if they are planned and remodeled at the same time as your kitchen, or if it is a larger, complex master bath remodel.
- 5) Do you draw plans for room additions?
- No, we do not perform any structural or architectural changes. You would need to employ help of an architect or structural engineer for any of your structural wall moving, newly added windows, skylights, etc.
- 6) How much should my new kitchen cost?
- Depending on the size, design details and quality of the products a complete kitchen remodeling with new appliances may cost between $18,000 and $45,000 including basic installation.
- 7) How much should I budget for a full bathroom remodeling?
- That will depend on the size, products, overall design. A good rule of thumb for standard 8x5 bath remodeling is to allow $10,000 for products and at least $9,000 for installation. Master baths/suites are more costly because you need two of everything (faucets, sinks, mirrors, showerheads), allow at least $35,000 for labor and materials.
- 8) Do you offer cabinetry refacing?
- No, we do not do refacing, we design and sell new cabinets.
- 9) Do you offer free estimates?
- Yes, we can give you a price range during the in-home consultation based on your measurements and desired products. If the approximate numbers make sense to you, we will ask for a deposit to start the design.
