Project Notes
Jim and Sharon asked KitchenGalleries to redesign their outdated kitchen in their newly purchased home in Los Altos, CA. Although their old kitchen was not small, it lacked modern amenities, storage, and a good flow. The customers had a wish list that reflected their need for a better floor layout, more accessible storage, increased food preparation surface, and built-in wine system. The remodeled kitchen included everything on their wishlist and more!
A center island provided much needed storage and uninterrupted countertop surface for food prep. A large stainless steel sink with double compartments made clean-up easier. And rather than spreading large size appliances throughout the kitchen, the designers used a far wall to group together refrigerator, microwave, wine cooler and double ovens. The result was a clean, modern look of tall cabinets with integrated appliances. The modern sleek line of the kitchen was achieved through incorporating simple horizontal and vertical lines of the tiled backsplash, stainless steel appliances, decorative light pendants over the island. Frosted glass inserts in upper cabinets provided a nice break from wood and metal. The customers also chose a maintenance-free quartz countertop that added to the modern look of the kitchen.

5 Stars - We cannot be happier!
For years we lived in brand new homes which were comfortable but did not necessarily have the style and design we would like. When we decided to buy a 48 yr old house in spring 2005, we wanted to make it truly the way we would like.
We asked KitchenGalleries to design the kitchen, the laundry room and 3 bathrooms (two bathrooms required moving interior walls). They listened to what we wanted and came up with designs that exceeded our expectation. They were also very thoughtful and attended to details in every step. Today, we have a beautiful new house, our dream kitchen, and 3 beautiful bathrooms. We just cannot be any happier!
